MYSA TRAVEL SOCCER

Announcement: Final Fall Season Games 11/1/2025

Travel Soccer

When our Marblehead players, from Grade 4 to Grade 12, hit the field in MYSA’s Travel Program, they’re not just playing soccer—they’re representing our town with pride. Competing in the Essex County Youth Soccer Association (ECYSA), our teams are placed in divisions with opponents of similar skill levels, making every match competitive, rewarding, and a chance to grow.  Team creation guidelines and procedures are outlined here.

Each season features eight games—four at home, four away—giving players the thrill of local rivalries and the adventure of traveling to nearby towns. The spring season builds to an exciting finish in the ECYSA Tournament, where the stakes are high and memories are made. And for those teams competing in an MTOC division, victory means advancing to the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions (MTOC)—where Marblehead has the chance to shine among the best in the state.

Together, we celebrate teamwork, sportsmanship, and the joy of competition at every level.

While we understand many athletes will be participating in more than one team sport, the requirements of registering Travel teams through the ECYSA months in advance means that MYSA expects a commitment from all players during the travel season. We ask all Travel players to commit to attendance at 100% of games and 80% of practices except in special circumstances. Please take this into consideration when making a decision on whether to participate. Travel players have two practices per week, approximately one hour in length, starting at 5:00 or later. One game is held each weekend, typically on Saturday.

If you have additional questions about our travel program, please see the Travel Q&A page.

Annual Evaluations

In person evaluations complement our coach assessments of each player in Marblehead Youth Soccer. Together, the evaluations and assessments allow MYSA to accurately place players onto the best-fit team for the fall and subsequent spring seasons. Please prioritize your child attending these evaluations, as we will not hold additional “in person” evaluations. Even if your child is a spring-only player, please participate in these evaluations.

Current 3rd through 7th graders that want to play MYSA Travel Soccer in the Fall and/or Spring of seasons, please register for the in-person player evaluations (one per child), and then attend the evaluation at the date/time that corresponds to your child below.
