TRAVEL EVALUATIONS FOR THE 2024-2025 SEASON WILL BE HELD ONLY ONCE, IN THE SPRING OF 2024. Please read the Travel FAQ for details. To be placed on a Travel team in the coming 2024-2025 season, a player must have participated in the Spring 2024 travel evaluation process by meeting all evaluation RSVP and registration deadlines.

Travel Program Information
Our teams, ranging from Grade 4 to Grade 12, play in the Essex County Youth Soccer Association league. Usually half a team’s games are home games and the other half are played on the road throughout Essex County. Selection criteria is detailed in the MYSA-Travel-Program-Guidelines-and-Procedures.
Selection – Teams are constructed based on multiple factors, including performance during a required evaluation, coaches’ evaluations from the season, selection committee observations, developmental assessments, and attendance during the current season. (Players are not required to have participated the previous season to be eligible for a travel team the next season, but participation in an evaluation is encouraged.) The primary goal in all team selection is to provide the best developmental situation for that particular player. More information is available in the Travel FAQ.
While we understand many children will be participating in more than one team sport, the requirements of registering Travel teams through the ECYSA months in advance means that MYSA expects a commitment from all players during the travel season. We ask all Travel players to commit to attendance at 100% of games and 80% of practices except in special circumstances. Please take this into consideration when making a decision on whether to participate. Travel players have two practices per weeknight, approximately one hour in length, starting at 5:00 or later. One game is held each weekend, typically on Saturday.
